Who We Are
The Indian Ocean Region Bulletin is a project connecting Indian Ocean Region scholars, practitioners, and interested parties together to explore the region's role in shaping the 21st Century.
There is no natural home for those interested in the Indian Ocean rim and the issues that impact this region. The tendency for those working in this region is to focus on sub-regions (East Africa, Middle East, South Asia, Southeast Asia). The result is that cross-collaboration between sub-regions can miss opportunities to discuss wider Indian Ocean Region geopolitical and strategic trends.
Our hope is to create a forum to bring together sub-regional expertise in an effort to create a shared Indian Ocean Region collaborative network and provide a gateway for those interested in the region to launch into further study, understanding, and exploration.
